Mobile Sync Using Dropbox Not Working
I recently "Supported" Battlescribe to enable me to sync rosters between my iPhone and my desktop PC. I have setup the Dropbox sync between my desktop and iPhone successfully. New rosters created and changes made to existing rosters are synced from iPhone to desktop, however changes made to the rosters on the desktop are not accessible on the iPhone. I deleted all my rosters from both desktop and iPhone and created a new roster on the desktop. It is copied across via dropbox and I can see it in dropbox on the iPhone but Battlescribe does not pick it up.
Battlescribe on desktop is version 2.03.03.131 (Windows 10 Home 64 bit)
Battlescribe on iPhone is 2.03.02 (iPhone XS iOS 13.1)
Still no feedback and no fix from the developers. Does nobody else have this issue, or does nobody else use Battlescribe on Windows and sync to iOS?
Dropbox syncing has never worked as I would have imagined >_<
Prior to 2.03.05 (iOS / iPhone and iPad), creating a list on one device would sync it across to other devices correctly (including changes), but I had to delete it on both devices for it to truely dissappear.
In the current version when I delete a list on my iPad, the next time BS does a sync it downloads it again :(
I think the only way I’ll be able to clean my lists up is to have BS loaded on all devices at the same time, and delete the list everywhere (including the Dropbox archive) and then it _should_ be OK ?-/
I am seeing similar behaviour on my system (2 macs, iPhone & iPad).
If I delete a roster on my mac it is recreated when I start the app on my iPhone or iPad.
All apps are latest version.
